Off to Taiwan in a bit!

Okay! So it's past my self-declared bedtime of 9pm (fyi, as I'm typing this it's already 10.30), but i just thought I should perhaps do a short update.

I'M FINALLY FLYING OFF TOMORROW MORNING TO TAIPEI!
Super excited to be travelling after a short hiatus (Msia roadtrips & ferries don't really count unless it's by plane). The last time I was on the plane was more than a year ago, coming back from London!
If I remember correctly, my ears were kind of sensitive & became blocked as we were about to land. Scared the hell out of me, as I thought I was going deaf.

But anyway, so I'm leaving the morning flight from Terminal 1, & I'd be back on Friday midnight! (:

I also have 'Pay-as-you-roam', so you can text me if it's urgent. (:

Goodnight peeps! & tmrw, it's gonna be Bonjour Taipei, Au revoir Singapore!

My Past Week & more!

*I'll upload photos at a later time because it takes a longlonglong time!*

11 Aug Wed: Daddy's birthday dinner at Din Tai Fung & roadtrip into Msia with Keefe & Erina! Baskin robbins, durian, car wash, kenny rogers= been there, done that!

(I give up. Please view my facebook once I've uploaded the photos. Blogger's being a bitch.)

12 Aug Thurs: Chillax at home.

13 Aug Fri: Collect car & went to secondary school 4C's BBQ at Ivy's place! Went home to shower after sending John & Darren, & went to pick up the gang at Plaza Sing! Made our way to Kallang Leisure Park for bowling! (girl power applies in basketball, singing, but *ahem* bowling isn't her forte.) Still mine, though! (:

14 Aug Sat: Drove into Msia for the first time (for me) & went to CARREFOUR (which resembles Singapore's Giant & can never hold a candle to France's), JUSCO & car wash. After arriving back in Singapore, we drove to Henderson Wave for some chillax till 3am before having oyster omelette for supper!

15 Aug Sun: Picked up Nrl & met the rest of the clique at Cinneleisure! Had some coffee whilst chilling before making a random decision to go ECP for a picnic! :D I love how spontaneous we can be when we're together. Bought Macs & snacks, & chilled till 9 plus before driving to the airport. SADLY, alot of photos just suddenly disappeared from my camera! ARGHHHHH.

16 Aug Mon: Supposed to return the car, but I lost my way.....*snorts*. TOTALLY NO SENSE OF DIRECTION TO SAVE MY LIFE. Anyw, they found some scratches on the tyre rims, so I had to do something about it. Called Gilbert & he accompanied me to his mechanic. I had the car for one more day, so drove to pick the gang & we went to ECP AGAIN. Chillax & sent everyone home. (:

17 Aug Tue: Brought the car to the mechanic & it was fixed in a jiffy! They didn't even charged me, how nice! (: Returned the car & G drove us to get black carrot cake, which is unbelievably difficult at that point of time.

18 Aug Wed: Can't remember what I did.

19 Aug Thurs: Went to town to find Erina at Orange for dinner! We wanted to have TCC scones, but it wasn't available! :( had tirumisu & she had cheesecake.

20 Aug Fri: Keefe came to pick me before meeting the rest at Crystabelle for our Karaoke session. (: my singing wasn't up to par. *sighs* Felt unwell the whole day.

21 Aug Sat (today!): Chillax at home but went out to buy lunch & order Macs for dinner! Did some menial chores too, which went unappreciated & I'm really kinda pissed by it. -.-*

& guess what?!
I DOWNLOADED THE FULL VERSION OF 'ANGRY BIRDS'!
Super excited to play them all! HAHAHAH!

HUGO!

A quick post before I head to bed! (:

Recently I was introduced to a job by my primary school friend, Keefe!
We actually lost contact for 7 years & I happened to chance upon him on FB. The wonders of technology! No wonder Facebook has been voted the 'Most Popular' website around!

So during the GSS period, I'll be working part-time at HUGO Boss Taka. It's not a glamourous job, but neither is it degrading or tough. (: In fact, I find myself looking forward, prolly because of the super-nice colleagues & handsome eye-candies! :D I suppose what my friend said is true: If we have eye-candies, time passes much faster.

But Keefe is SUPER ANNOYING! It's no wonder I always whack him in primary school.
He keeps teasing me about the eye-candies, & then I'll turn super red.
*BLUSHER LAH*.

A random decision was also just made: package booked for Bangkok the following week.
My parents sure have a knack of going as they wish, & a good thing for them too, since their kids have all grown up (except for MONster.)

That reminds me. Cynthia's coming back from US when we're in BKK. Lol.

If I'm lucky.

JKS, his voice is amazing. When I listen to his singing, there's a quality in his voice which makes me feel like I'm stuck in-between fantasy & reality.
I'm hardly the kind of girl who idolizes people, because I know that they are as human as anyone of us.
I like the fact that he set his sights on acting, & yet is still able to put his heart in singing well. The song titled 'Goodbye' in my blog is sang by him.

I will support you! Work hard for your dream, just like how I am struggling to reach mine now.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday, we headed out to Chinatown's Yum Cha for some Dim Sum. Frankly, the food was really oily, & not all were tasty. It was expensive too, $60+ for 3 of us! :/

Then I got an idea, & bugged my mom to get us to People's Park Centre so I can grab some travel brochures to Korea. I briefly discussed with Lynnette before, & hopefully we can make a trip there in July!
Of course, as I was unemployed for a short period following my rejection at Jetstar, my finances needs to be re-planned. I will have to work in order to have more spending money should we go. (:

As it'll be my first time to Korea, the Five Stars Tour agent recommended that we go for the 8D6N Korea with Jeju Island!
We can visit the Teddy Bear Museum, take a domestic flight, learn to make kimchi & my most anticipated: dressing in a traditional Hanbok.

Do you guys know what was my aim when I first set my sights on working as a flight stewardess? I hope to travel to many countries all over the world, & buy their traditional costumes. Japan's kimono, Korea's Hanbok, China's Qipao etc.
My dream has now been indefinitely postponed. Though it's really harsh for me at this point, but I've come to face the truth. It takes great courage, because for someone who has been so strong & healthy, being sick has made me lost my sanity for a while.
I'll be giving myself a 6-month break to heal myself, to complete whatever surgery is needed and to recover. At the end of the 6 months, my ban at SIA will be over.

My wish now, would be a chance to travel BEFORE any surgery is scheduled. I want to feel liberated, to feel freedom, before I get confined to any hospital or home recovery.
That's why I'm really pinning alot for this trip.
MAY GOD PlEASE BLESS THIS LITTLE WISH OF MINE.

(p.s: I'm sorry that this is a rather emotional post. Speaking of travel/ flying/ airline is actually very tough on me. Not to mention, tomorrow is the day which I was supposed to start training with Jetstar. :'( )

iPhone idiot

Haven't been blogging as much as I wanted to, as I was heading out of the house & also chasing my 'You're Beautiful:原来是美男' series.
When I'm done with this entry, I'll go get a manicure & pedicure done, & probably try figuring out what to do with my new iPhone.

I didn't change my mobile number, but I switched contract to Starhub. So apparently, they will port the service line later, but I'm still pretty clueless.
I should have done more research before buying on impulse.
I'm not regreting though, because I bought a pretty colour (white), at a good deal (paid only $168!) & I always love having something new on my desk!

On Labour Day, I headed out with my mom & sis to Ikea Tampines for dinner & some shopping. Or rather, the shopping was mostly by me!

At Ikea, I bought a new bedside lamp (which has been fairly too bright & disturbing my sleep), super adorable & worth-it tupperware (which I intend to bring for THE picnic), a red portable table, small glasses & also, roses!
I wanted to get a plant to put in my room, because flowers never fail to cheer me up. Figured I need some sort of cheering when 17 May comes & reality sets in.
Mommy said flowers in the room will indicate luck in love, so I don't mind either. Haha, whether I'm ready or not, that's another question.

We drove over to GIANT to shop again, though this time, I managed to control my wallet a little! I love this giant Tigger though, it's so squishy! Too bad I've passed the phase of wanting soft toys!

On Sunday, mommy & I went to Bukit Batok to get another dosage of medicine.
That's when walking around West Mall, I decided to get a new phone.

I still need to figure out what needs to be done with the iPhone.

Who's there?

Met up with Bao, Puma & Nurul on Tuesday.
Darling wanted to colour her hair, & since I'm so free, we went together. Supposed to be a clique outing so I can update them all at one go, but Lala & Nette were not able to join us.

After food at Far East, we drop by Heeren's coffeehouse for some serious chat session. Of course, I updated them exactly what was happening to me. & we've also made plans for a sleepover & what to wear for the graduation party! (:

Nurul manage to grab a photo with Ashley Isham too!! (: Frankly, he's not Hot or anything, but I've seen the dresses he designed & I'm fascinated.

I just want to say, I'm really thankful for you guys being by my side. Other than my family & Gilbert, you guys were the first to really ask me out, genuinely concerned about me. I thank God because even though something as terrible as this happened, but I get to know who really care about our friendship. (:

I love you guys, & you all must know that too alright!

Food for the past week: Suki sushi buffet with my sis.

We went to AMK Polyclinic to get a referral to a specialist. Then we had our manicure done, followed by sushi buffet & impromptu kbox.
During times like this, though sometimes she's a bitch, but she's there for me too.

Peach Maxi!

I just bought this maxi dress online.

Isn't it gorgeous? (:
I can't wait to wear it to the beach, with Bao & our dogs. Puma, if you're interested, come along! I'l be driving!

If only the day gets better..

I had another blood test today.

The doctor passed me for the U test, even though there were still traces of protein. He recommended that for my sake, I should take a blood test to see what's wrong.
'You look perfectly healthy to me, so I don't see why I should fail you'. The blood test is just a reassurance in case the 2nd-reviewing doctor in Australia questions.

I must admit that I'm really terrified.
My health has never posted a problem for me in the past, & furthermore I'm still young. I certainly don't wish for a small problem like protein in the urine to hinder my career.

With that being said, the blood test results will be out tomorrow.
There's another reason why I'm more uncomfortable than normal. In my mind, I was thinking: "if you can fail Jetstar's medical, what makes you think SQ will be fine?". That's why my mood today is really like, FML.

Then I went down to HTT to pay the training bond. Amount is really alot for a post-graduate student like myself, & it's taking a toll on my personal life.
I must really budget my lifestyle, that means eating at home more, less spendings etc. This is certainly a far cry from the initial Wendy who was heading to Los Angeles for holiday.

Also, I received the JETSTAR Ground school pre-course training booklet, which I'm supposed to read up on before ground school starts. There'll be a quiz on the first day, they say. That will be on 17 May, IF I GET JQ.

My contract is under Jetstar International, & I was rather surprised by the routes.
I have Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Phuket, Bali etc, but there's no Hongkong & Taipei. Gosh, my 2 most favored destinations.
