My Past Week & more!

*I'll upload photos at a later time because it takes a longlonglong time!*

11 Aug Wed: Daddy's birthday dinner at Din Tai Fung & roadtrip into Msia with Keefe & Erina! Baskin robbins, durian, car wash, kenny rogers= been there, done that!

(I give up. Please view my facebook once I've uploaded the photos. Blogger's being a bitch.)

12 Aug Thurs: Chillax at home.

13 Aug Fri: Collect car & went to secondary school 4C's BBQ at Ivy's place! Went home to shower after sending John & Darren, & went to pick up the gang at Plaza Sing! Made our way to Kallang Leisure Park for bowling! (girl power applies in basketball, singing, but *ahem* bowling isn't her forte.) Still mine, though! (:

14 Aug Sat: Drove into Msia for the first time (for me) & went to CARREFOUR (which resembles Singapore's Giant & can never hold a candle to France's), JUSCO & car wash. After arriving back in Singapore, we drove to Henderson Wave for some chillax till 3am before having oyster omelette for supper!

15 Aug Sun: Picked up Nrl & met the rest of the clique at Cinneleisure! Had some coffee whilst chilling before making a random decision to go ECP for a picnic! :D I love how spontaneous we can be when we're together. Bought Macs & snacks, & chilled till 9 plus before driving to the airport. SADLY, alot of photos just suddenly disappeared from my camera! ARGHHHHH.

16 Aug Mon: Supposed to return the car, but I lost my way.....*snorts*. TOTALLY NO SENSE OF DIRECTION TO SAVE MY LIFE. Anyw, they found some scratches on the tyre rims, so I had to do something about it. Called Gilbert & he accompanied me to his mechanic. I had the car for one more day, so drove to pick the gang & we went to ECP AGAIN. Chillax & sent everyone home. (:

17 Aug Tue: Brought the car to the mechanic & it was fixed in a jiffy! They didn't even charged me, how nice! (: Returned the car & G drove us to get black carrot cake, which is unbelievably difficult at that point of time.

18 Aug Wed: Can't remember what I did.

19 Aug Thurs: Went to town to find Erina at Orange for dinner! We wanted to have TCC scones, but it wasn't available! :( had tirumisu & she had cheesecake.

20 Aug Fri: Keefe came to pick me before meeting the rest at Crystabelle for our Karaoke session. (: my singing wasn't up to par. *sighs* Felt unwell the whole day.

21 Aug Sat (today!): Chillax at home but went out to buy lunch & order Macs for dinner! Did some menial chores too, which went unappreciated & I'm really kinda pissed by it. -.-*

& guess what?!
I DOWNLOADED THE FULL VERSION OF 'ANGRY BIRDS'!
Super excited to play them all! HAHAHAH!

Be Grateful

I've finally had a good rest today!
As all my readers would have known, yesterday was my last day at HUGO! I've been working there part-time since 6 June, & so it was in a span of about 2 months?
I'm really grateful for a chance to be exposed to the retail industry, which I havent experienced beforehand. Previously, I have no lack of experience in many other industries:
- F&B (waitressing & even a cook for Takoyaki for my family business)
- Admin (data entry)
- Receptionist
- Promoter (Seagate hardisk & Brother printer)
- Conference coordinator

So I guess now I can add Retail to my list of resume as well. Haha!

Okay, back to my point. We went out to Crystabelle KTV last night again to celebrate! It's located near Outram MRT, & it's kinda cheap! Normally we sing for 3 hours and you can order either a beer/juice & it only totals up to $13! :D I've been there 4 times, and it still ranks well as my favourite.

The only bane would probably be the emo-ness that sneaks in to find us all. Soon, some songs strike a vulnerable chord & I'll find my mind drifting off to where it shouldn't.

I remembered earlier in the evening, darling Espall & Shamine came to the store to find me. We chatted a bit, & eventually (expected) came to the topic of what I intend to do from now on. & guess what?

My mind drew up a blank.

Sighs, emo-ness activated at that moment & it lingered on till end of the day.

Anyw, a highlight for last night would be me taking over the driving near Serangoon! Keefe had allowed Watson to drive his manual Nissan Sunny from Marine Parade to Serangoon, & he just randomly asked me to drive.
I must say, I was panicking & my feet trembled. Though I have a qualified license for Class 3, but driving a manual car is too much of a hassle. Fortunately though, the engine & clutch did not die on me. (: I still have what it takes.
They even commented that my driving is actually smooth, when I change gears & all. (: happy happy! I can't wait to drive from 13-16aug!
I have plenty of outings for that weekend, & I'm super excited. I even activated the GPS lor, haha! (;

13 Aug- BBQ with sec sch mates (I'm bringing a date!)
14 Aug- Outing with HUGO colleagues Keefe, Erina, Watson & Joyce
15 Aug- Outing with poly loves: Pooms, lulu & darling has confirmed!
16 Aug- Bring Toonie out & prolly my family.

So as you can see, my August is filled with excitement!
It's great because it takes my mind off things.
I shall deal with the repercussions later. :D

HUGO!

A quick post before I head to bed! (:

Recently I was introduced to a job by my primary school friend, Keefe!
We actually lost contact for 7 years & I happened to chance upon him on FB. The wonders of technology! No wonder Facebook has been voted the 'Most Popular' website around!

So during the GSS period, I'll be working part-time at HUGO Boss Taka. It's not a glamourous job, but neither is it degrading or tough. (: In fact, I find myself looking forward, prolly because of the super-nice colleagues & handsome eye-candies! :D I suppose what my friend said is true: If we have eye-candies, time passes much faster.

But Keefe is SUPER ANNOYING! It's no wonder I always whack him in primary school.
He keeps teasing me about the eye-candies, & then I'll turn super red.
*BLUSHER LAH*.

A random decision was also just made: package booked for Bangkok the following week.
My parents sure have a knack of going as they wish, & a good thing for them too, since their kids have all grown up (except for MONster.)

That reminds me. Cynthia's coming back from US when we're in BKK. Lol.

MELT

Dinner last night with my mom @ MELT, Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
I had 2 vouchers from last year's Xmas party, & after much delay it was near expiration hence, we decided yesterday was THE day. (:

Mandarin Oriental was without doubt, a 5-star hotel.
Of course, from what we learned in Tourism school, Singapore ACTUALLY does not have any official 'star' system. So whenever you see some hotel claim 'I'm 5-star, 3-star' etc, it's pretty much bullshit.
However, we were in awe last night. Not only was the food tantalizing, the service staff treated us like kings/queens! They'd personally guide us to the washrooms and check on our table constantly if everything was in order.
Another aspect we were in awe of, was the swimming pool architecture. We were initally going to leave the lobby, until I saw a sign saying 'Swimming pool on level 5'.
I'm the kind of person that grades the hotel based on the swimming pool area. & to tell the truth: Mandarin Oriental's poolside beats Fairmont hands-down.

My mom was so happy, as it was a good mother-daughter time + great food! She said she hardly eats buffet dinners (because my dad doesn't fancy it; too messy he says), more of high tea at hotels overseas.
Personally, I've not eaten many times too, probably around 9 times? A couple were at Furama Riverfront due to work, once was celebrating Carrie's bdae at Grand Park hotel, a few at Fairmont.
Yesterday's spread could rival Fairmont's PREGO & Equinox.
Happy girl now! Ate so much that I've decided: YUP, IT'S TIME TO START DIETING!

Some 'stalkers' like G immediately sms me & asked me why did I want to diet. By right for my height (1.65), the healthy weight range should be 50-53.
Simple: I'm not ideal enough to myself. Therefore I'm going to lose 3kg.

Speaking of which, here are a few of my new purchases! :D
Some were from F21, which I intend to prepare for Sept-Seoul!

Tomorrow's going to be the day for my CT Scan, & SATC 2 movie with my bitches!
Frankly, I'm scared.

I'm gonna stay STRONG.

So I went to Singapore General Hospital this morning, accompanied by my sis.
At first, it was a basic consultation with a Renal specialist, which we were then referred to the Urology department.

I don't really want to know what's going on, but yet I have to keep my ears open. It was tough listening to the doctors repeat: 'this is not good/ rare for someone your age.' Of course I know it's not good! If I was alive & kicking well, I'd be having training for my flying career at THAT timing!
Frankly, I almost broke down when she tried to soothe me by rubbing my arms.

ONE THING I CAN'T STAND IS FOR PEOPLE TO TOUCH ME WHEN I FEEL LIKE CRYING. It feels like they pity me, & the chances that I'll break down increases tenfolds.
I told her to stop it, & that probably saved me some embarassment from crying in the dumb room.

I did another blood test, and I was close to crying too. In short, I'm terrified of hospitals, medicine, injections & what have you.

My family & best friends are backing and supporting me all the way, & I thank God for their presence.
For those people who know more (Aloysius & gang & my clique), you guys know 2 expired cans of beer saved my life! haha!

2 more visits to SGH next week! Phew~

Though 'ill', I still want to do things simultaneously; therefore I'm working at VivoCity for an event tomorrow! Receptionist, 6- 11pm, 80bucks!
That breaks down to like $16 an hour? Cool.
At first I got a shock. I thought I had to dress like a Showgirl. Thank God NO!!

Who's there?

Met up with Bao, Puma & Nurul on Tuesday.
Darling wanted to colour her hair, & since I'm so free, we went together. Supposed to be a clique outing so I can update them all at one go, but Lala & Nette were not able to join us.

After food at Far East, we drop by Heeren's coffeehouse for some serious chat session. Of course, I updated them exactly what was happening to me. & we've also made plans for a sleepover & what to wear for the graduation party! (:

Nurul manage to grab a photo with Ashley Isham too!! (: Frankly, he's not Hot or anything, but I've seen the dresses he designed & I'm fascinated.

I just want to say, I'm really thankful for you guys being by my side. Other than my family & Gilbert, you guys were the first to really ask me out, genuinely concerned about me. I thank God because even though something as terrible as this happened, but I get to know who really care about our friendship. (:

I love you guys, & you all must know that too alright!

Food for the past week: Suki sushi buffet with my sis.

We went to AMK Polyclinic to get a referral to a specialist. Then we had our manicure done, followed by sushi buffet & impromptu kbox.
During times like this, though sometimes she's a bitch, but she's there for me too.

If.

I feel so useless recently.

I'm clearly able-bodied, but yet because of a medical report, I am not able to continue flying.

The physician told me, with my problem, I should not work as a air stewardess because it will be too taxing for my body, so she asked me to give that up.

How do I put it to her that I would rather die?

I'm so scared, & so disappointed in myself.
I blamed God, for making my journey so smooth from the beginning, only to crush me when we're at the end.
I've been banned by SQ for 6 months, because I didn't make the management round.
Just when I told myself to focus & work hard for JQ, my blood test result showed problems, which the doctor will not be able to pass me.

In one day, both my dreams were dashed.

If I could find some way to kill myself (eating sleeping pills, drowning etc), I'm sure I would already have been dead now.
If I died, I probably STILL won't be a happy ghost 6 feet under.

Initially thinking that I'm going to have a happy 20th birthday celebration next Wednesday, anticipating Jetstar's training on the 17th and hesitating if I should attend NYP's graduation ceremony on 21st.

Now, the birthday celebration will still go on, but I won't be happy.
Jetstar's training, I won't be going.
Graduation, I feel like I wouldn't want to go, because I don't want to face people. People who will ask me what am I doing now, why haven't you start training.

Wanting to cry each night, but my tears have already all dried up.

If anyone have the power to heal my wound, or the power to console me so my pain can be lessen, please...save me.

I'm trying to look like everything is fine, but I'm bleeding inside.

No more peanuts!!

Our 9-course dinner at a Thong Chai-Tiong Bahru Buddhist dinner.
Being the sudden vegetarian due to an instructed low-protein diet, I really abstained as much as I could from those delectable yummies!
Even my favourite peanuts (which I used to down 1 full packet at a go), I only ate ONE PEANUT & 1/8 of a crumb. That's how strong my willpower can get.

I just hope for Tuesday's medical check-up to be over soon, & that I can pass this time round. I've always been a healthy baby, & I'm sure I can be a healthy cabin crew.
After Tuesday's medical, then I can see where exactly which route to take.

& I'm dying to share on what I fear most about being a cabin crew.
